J-PET Zbigniew Rudy Prize

In honour of Prof. dr hab. Zbigniew Rudy (1957 - 2019) a prize for the best contribution to the J-PET project, either on extraordinary PhD thesis or master thesis or publication or research proposal, will be given annually. Nominations and self-nominations have to be sent to Prof. Beatrix Hiesmayr (beatrix.hiesmayr@univie.ac.at) - initiator of the award - before March and a committee of the senior researchers will select the winner.

 

2018 edition founded by Prof. Beatrix Hiesmayr

At the 23rd June 2019, one day before the official 3rd Jagiellonian Symposium on Fundamental and Applied Subatomic Physics opening took place, Zbigniew Rudy Prize Award for 2018 was given to Dr. Szymon Niedźwiecki who "devoted his scientific life to J-PET".

 

 

 

2019 edition founded by Prof. Beatrix Hiesmayr

During the workshop in Frascati "Is Quantum Theory exact? From quantum foundations to quantum applications", Zbigniew Rudy Prize Award for 2019 was given to Dr. Daria Kisielewska for "special effort in the development of MC J-PET".

 

2020 edition founded by Prof. Beatrix Hiesmayr

During the "1st Symposium on Theranostics" in Kraków, Zbigniew Rudy Prize Award for 2020 was given to Dr. Aleksander Gajos for "his unique and magnificent efforts for the J-PET project".

 

 

 

2021 edition founded by Prof. Beatrix Hiesmayr

During the "1st Symposium on Theranostics" in Kraków, Zbigniew Rudy Prize Award for 2021 was given to Dr. Wojciech Krzemień for "his unique and magnificent efforts for the J-PET project".
